The cover of the 2023 edition of the Broad River Review features a landscape photograph of small palm tree islands enveloped in fog. The image is predominately white and wraps around to the back cover of the publication as well.
The landscape photograph "St. Marks Foggy Palms" graces the wraparound cover of the 2023 edition of the Broad River Review, the literary magazine of Gardner-Webb University.

My landscape photograph, “St. Marks Foggy Palms,” was used as the wraparound cover on the 2023 edition of the Broad River Review. The Broad River Review is the literary magazine of Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina. As the 2023 edition contains 222 pages with 70 contributors, it’s more of a book than a magazine.

Gardner-Webb is my alma mater and Dr. Chris Davis, the editor of the Broad River Review and the Chair of the Department of English Language and Literature at GWU, was one of my English professors at the university. Dr. Davis, please excuse any grammatical errors here.

This is not the first time I have been published in the Broad River Review. My photography has graced the pages of the literary magazine in the past, including on a previous cover, during my tenure as a student at Gardner-Webb University. Surprisingly, I also had my writing published in the magazine - a short story I wrote won the Fiction Award. So, now you know it’s true - I am full of...fiction.

Be sure to check out the print options of my “St. Marks Foggy Palms” landscape photograph.
